Jeff and I took a trip up to Liberty this evening to attend a viewing of Saturn and its rings. The viewing took place at the Pillsbury Observatory on the William Jewell Campus. There was a good sized crowd, we had to wait in a line as we climbed the steep stairs up to the Observatory. Then one by one we each climbed the ladder to look into the telescope and gaze upon the miraculous view. We could see Saturn and its rings very clearly, it was really neat! Afterwards we went out on the balcony outside the Observatory and took in the lovely views of Liberty and the William Jewell Campus.
