Today for our Anniversary Jeff and I had lunch at
The Mixx in the Power and Light District. The Mixx is a locally-owned restaurant that cares about the quality of the food you eat. Using only the freshest ingredients, The Mixx’s grilled meats are hormone-free, fish is flown in fresh daily, and everything is made from scratch. The Mixx’s dishes are prepared with foods that are not processed and are preservative-free. Since I have been on an all natural/organic kick lately I really wanted to try this place, and it was amazing! Jeff had a chicken salad sandwich and salad. I had the "Knife and Fork salad" - delicious!! And we shared a cupcake for dessert. This restaurant is a great find!

Knife and Fork salad - Grilled steak, herb roasted potatoes, grilled sweet onions, Roma tomatoes, gorgonzola and wild field greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette.
Chicken salad sandwich and Garden of Eden Salad - Crisp Granny Smith apples, candied pecans, and wild field greens tossed with champagne honey vinaigrette. The cupcake was so yummy, with really good frosting! And while the cupcake was all natural and preservative- free, it unfortunately was not calorie-free! The hubby bought me some lovely sunflowers - so sweet!
