It's good to try new things!

I have really been making changes in the food that J and I eat.  I am buying more natural/organic, and buying much less processed foods.  It has really been fun trying new things!!  I thought I would start sharing some of the new products, foods, and recipes that we have been trying.

First up is Shelled Hemp Seed.  These tiny little seeds are great to add to all kinds of food.  I have been using it on my yogurt and oatmeal.  Not much flavor, sort of a light nutty taste.  They are a great source of protein and are loaded with Omega-3 and Omega-6.  The seeds also contain Gamma-Linolenic Acid, which helps with arthritis, joint mobility, eczema, hormonal balance, migraines, healthy cholesterol & blood pressure levels and even weight management. These tiny little seeds sure do pack a punch!  The serving size is only 3 tbsp, so just a little bit goes a long way.  I am giving the hemp seeds two thumbs up, and it is something I would buy again!

When Jeff saw that I was buying hemp seeds, he became a bit alarmed that my new organic living had transformed me into some sort of crazy, radical, hippie!! Well the crazy and radical part might be true, but hippie I am not.  A true hippie would have found some way to smoke the hemp seeds! Peace out!
