Ear Nose Throat - O'h My!

I should have known.  Today was doomed from the start -  I was running late and did not have enough time to finish blow drying my hair. In order to multitask while driving, I opened all the car windows plus turned the AC full blast. My hair was dry when I pulled in the parking lot, but it also appeared somewhat like this..........
Luckily I had a ponytail holder to restore some order to this catastrophe!

I visited the ENT Doctor today to get a second opinion on my Sleep Apnea and figure out what the heck is going on with my sinuses.  I had it in my head that if I cleared up all sinus/allergy problems - then sleep apnea would be a thing of the past.  However, I could not get my Doctor to see it my way, and I came in armed with highlighted paper work, and colorful paper clips! LOL

I have had problems with my sinuses for some time now. Last summer when I had a MRI of the Brain, they found a cyst on the sphenoid sinuses, which are located in bones behind the nasal cavity. So yep I have another sinus infection. So for the next thirty days I will be on antibiotics, nasal spay, nasal wash, and allergy meds.  Go back in 30 days for a scan.  If no improvement then surgery will be my next option.

The Doctor had a long talk with me about my sleep apnea, and how I really was not taking it serious.  This is true, I gave up on my CPAP machine days ago.  He said I should have been put on CPAP a long time ago, right after my sleep study.  We went over the severe damage apnea does to the whole body, especially the heart and lungs.  I understand and I am back at it.  We discussed weight - and how at a healthy weight I could stop using the machine. Motivation! Motivation! Motivation!

I was upset when I left his office, but now I am feeling better about things.  I have already been on track with a healthy diet and have done great this week.

On a different topic, how do you like the new blog design.  I am archiving all my blog posts and trying to get more creative with it.  My blog compared to other bloggers I follow, is totally armature. But I will keep learning as I go, and sometime down the road I would like to get a better camera to improve the quality of the pictures on the blog.

Did you know I took Photography in College, and LOVED it! My 35mm camera was great, but not digital.  I took some great pics with that camera. Not digital you say?? I know right, back in the olden days....2002!
