So Long, Farewell...........

Oprah's last show is tomorrow, and my heart is breaking a little.  Laugh if you will, but it's the truth.  I have grown up watching this lovely lady, and you can blame it all on my Mama!! Yes from the ripe old age of six, I began watching Oprah.  Not that my age really mattered I had been watching Phil Donahue for years!!

I can't put into words how much I respect and admire this woman.  Over the years I have laughed, cried, and experienced many "aha" moments while watching her show.  I have seen her go from fat to skinny many times over, and I share in her pain and frustration.  To me Oprah has always been a real person, she has flaws and has made mistakes.  Just like everyone, and I think that is why her popularity exploded the way it has. 

I'm not sure if I will watch the finale, not so big on goodbyes and I know I will cry like a baby.  So for now... so long, farewell.
