Sleep Study

So glad to have this test over with.  I had been worrying about it all week.  It wasn't as terrible as I had imagined, weird yes, but not terrible.  I got all hooked up to all kinds of wires, mostly to my head.  The worst part was the tube that went up my nose, I constantly was yanking that thing out.  Took a while to fall asleep but I did for 3-4 hours.  When I woke up I was HOT!  What no one else sleeps at a crisp 68 degrees?!! The technician I had was super sweet and came in and turned down the air.  Then I had to get up and use the restroom, by this point I was becoming an unruly patient! lol.  I never really fell back into a deep sleep after I woke up the first time.  I tossed and turned over and over.  By this point I was crabby and wanted to go home!  At 6:00 am the Tech came in and said it's time to go, and once she detached me from my many wires I was out the door.  I looked fabulous!  I had blue marks all over my forehead from the measurements and had globs of electrode paste in my hair.  Two shampoos later and I finally got it all out.  By this point I was tired and decided I would rest my eyes a few minutes on the couch before my Doc appointment.  Slept right on through it - oops!  Luckily they were very understanding when I called and rescheduled it for next week.
The good news was the tech never had to come in during the night and give me oxygen.  Which was great, because all I needed was one more tube! lol.  It will take 5-7 days to get the results back and she said that there could be a chance I could have minor sleep apnea, but she did not see a whole lot.
