Vaca in KC

Mom, Dad, and Jill were in town last week to spend a few days while Jill was on vacation.  Although the weather was not so great (rain) I think they still had a good time.  They did make up to the Chiefs Training camp, however, Dad said the guys were playing like crap, which could explain their first few pre-season games.  They did say the new Training facilities at MWSU were really nice.  Mom and Dad also checked out a few RV dealerships.  Yep, that's right my parents could soon be the kind of retired RV drivers you see barrelling down I-70!!  Yikes - my house and extra long drive way will probably make for a convenient pit stop!!

Tuesday night we went over to a restaurant called Governor Stumpy's Grill house.  Dad is friends with the owner's Dad.  The food and service were excellent.  The owner was there and Dad was able to visit with him-super nice guy!! This great find is located in the Waldo area.

In true blog fashion I must show you what I ordered.

POSNANSKI’S CHICKEN SPIDINI Strips of chicken, lightly breaded and charbroiled, topped with a fresh tomato pesto marinade, parmesan cheese and parsley, served on a bed of pasta with marinara. A favorite of Joe Posnanski, a local sports writing legend. YUM!!

And just a hop, jump, and a skip down the road is Starlight Theater were we saw ......................

Cue cheesy 80's music now! Who knew dancing and singing on roller skates could be so fun.  This show was hilarious!  Not to mention Starlight theater alone is a beautiful place to visit.  Fun time, I'm still humming the songs from the show!  "We have to believe we are magic......."

Thanks Mom and Dad for all the yummy lunches, and dinners!  Jill I hope you enjoyed your vacation, it was great seeing you!
